just thinking…

Life can be pretty un-fair at times
Things we can’t control
Children hurting
Natural disasters
I believe everyone has a destiny
Weather its fair or not

So why on earth do we allow ourselves to hurt
When we CAN control it?
We stay in marriages
Jobs
Cities
Absolutely miserable
Why?
Because its easier to be unhappy
Change is hard, and its hard to see the big picture when judgement is clouded by the immediate reaction of those somehow involved in whatever that change may be

I think it all boils down to faith or fear..(I wrote about that a while back)..faith is so hard to grasp,and we let go of it so easily, but fear?,.. That’s extremely easy to get and even harder to get rid of..

Fear has clouded my judgement many times, making me take the ‘easy’ way out
Follow the safe path
I said “I do” when I knew damn we’ll I shouldn’t be
I hid the real me for many years, I don’t deserve to be hidden, every human being deserves to live their ONE short life in such a way that makes them happy.
Stayed at a job that I absolutely hated
Allowed myself to be brutally abused mentally
Day after day
Wishing things would change
But doing nothing to make them change
Because it was easy in comparison, or so I thought at the time

I can’t change the way people think, but I can voice my oppinion..and I just think with all the things we CAN’T control, we should really do what makes us happy when we CAN control the situation but don’t want to, maybe because of fear of change, or the road to get to your end result not being a smooth one….
The phrase “you only live once” is used too much, and taken for granted.
Said without a thought of just how short life really is
